Nike is giving us yet another new colorway of the Nike Air Max 97 “Cork” as this pair takes on one of the brightest looks that we’ve seen so far. Highlighted by a vibrant Coral hue all over the upper, this Nike Air Max 97 is made with about 20 percent recycled content, including Recycled Poly Canvas and other textiles on the uppers. The vibrant coral upper is joined by a paint speckled cork ring wrapping around the entire upper as well as an embroidered cork plant placed on the tongues. Down below we see a white rubber midsole and an outsole that is crafted from 9 percent recycled cork — partially sourced from the wine industry — infused in the rubber. Fans of the Air Max 97 can look for this new “Cork” colorway at select Nike retailers soon for a price tag of $180.
